On Saturday 17 September and Sunday 18 September from 10.00 am to 19.00 pm, you are invited to the launch of the Kraemer Gallery on the occasion of the opening and the inauguration of a new art space in Sélestat: la Poudrière, the new art space introduces the artist Didier Stein to Sélestat.
Kraemer Gallery is the concept of a traveling contemporary art gallery that invests art spaces for in situ exhibitions for insiders but also neophytes.
Yannick Kraemer, who is known for directing the hairdressing group Kraemer International, seeks to share his love for artists from the different currents from Pop’Art; this concerns the New Realists, the members of the Figuration Libre, the Young British Artists as well as the American underground. It presents around sixty remarkable pieces by Niki de Saint Phalle, Gérard Schlosser, Jacques Villeglé, Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Robert Combas, Peter Klasen, Keith Haring, Wim Delvoye, Jeff Koons, Jan Fabre, Damien Hirst and Aboudia. As an enlightened amateur, Yannick Kraemer discovers young French, African or Asian artists and acts as a smuggler of emerging talent. From today to tomorrow.
Exceptional works (Modigliani) complete this first exhibition which places him as a wise collector, very open to his own discoveries, with a line and a coherent artistic vision based on sure values of 20th and 21st century art.
This exhibition is the result of a wonderful encounter with the artist Didier Stein, who transforms his own studio, La Poudrière, to regularly host artistic events. The sobriety of the space, its generous shapes and its long layout make it the perfect setting for this exceptional double moment: the launch of the Kraemer Gallery and the inauguration of the Poudrière.
Dates of the exhibition open to the public: September 17 and 18, 2022 (10 a.m. to 7 p.m.)
Free admission, as part of Heritage Days, at La Poudrière, 28a boulevard Thiers, in Sélestat
