The two-day festival Voodoo Village promises to be another unforgettable experience this year.
With an impressive lineup of international artists and local talent as well as an array of inspiring experiences, Voodoo Village traditionally closes the festival summer in beauty. Festival-goers will be immersed in a sonic journey like never before. From the hypnotic tones of Adriatique, the spectacular show with lasers, projections and motion graphics by Italian duo Mathame to WhoMadeWho with their Hybrid DJ Set.
But local heroes also have their place at Voodoo Village as always, including this year Yves Deruyter, Lola Haro and Nico Morano. However, Voodoo Village is more than just music; it is an experience that stimulates all the senses. One of the highlights of this edition is The Oracle by Gimber; a zone dedicated to holistic experiences that uplift the body and mind. In this enchanting oasis, visitors can participate in inspiring workshops, including the tantalizing Cocoa Ceremony and the connecting Partner Bliss and Loving Touch. These workshops promise to foster profound connection and inner growth and create a space of selfcare and introspection. When night falls, The Oracle will be transformed into a sixth stage with international live acts.
As usual, Voodoo Village also attracted some top chefs for the festival restaurant this year, where several hundred guests will be pampered (by reservation) with a sharing menu created by Mallory Gabsi and Paul Delrez. Gabsi, 26 and born in Ixelles, was awarded a star by Michelin this year for his Paris restaurant Mallory Gabsi, a stone’s throw from the Arc de Triomphe.
Together with culinary prodigy Paul Delrez – also of Brussels descent – he will create a delicious three-course sharing menu at Voodoo Village. In addition to striving to indulge the senses and expand the mind, this year Voodoo Village will give even deeper meaning to its enchanting nature.
“As a festival rooted in community and connection, we are excited to announce that a portion of this year’s proceeds will be donated to some local, Grimberg charities,” said Maxim Dekegel of Voodoo Village. “Some of these inspiring initiatives include Villa N.J.A.M., a place where youthful art and creativity are encouraged to flourish; Care Farm Huppeldepup, where care and nature come together to promote wellness and Den Diepen Boomgaard, an oasis of green that strengthens the bond between people and the environment.”
Finally, the organization is putting even more effort into public transportation this year.
For example, Voodoo Village has installed an extensive bus service plan in which Antwerp, Brussels, Ghent, Hasselt, Leuven and Mechelen will have a shuttle bus line. Visitors from Brussels can even sail off on a party boat that departs from Tour & Taxis.
The cruise lasts about an hour and passengers will enjoy DJ sets and drinks in the meantime.
Tickets for Voodoo Village are still available at a limited discount. Day tickets are currently available from €75 and weekend tickets from €125. Tokens are also still temporarily available at a discount.
