On the morning of 10 October, Russia launched a massive missile attack on multiple cities in Ukraine, including the capital Kyiv. The missiles were directed against civilian objects, including a children’s playground in the heart of Ukraine’s capital. Casualties have been reported. Russia no longer hides its terrorist nature, and it must now be officially recognised as a terrorist statel.
As a result of the missile attack on Dnipro and Zaporizhia, multiple casualties have been confirmed. The city of Kremenchuk is in blackout. Putin is no longer able to succeed on the battlefield, confronted with the Armed Forces of Ukraine as the Russian army has been completely degraded seven months into their thwarted invasion. Now the Kremlin dictator has set a course for the destruction of Ukrainians through blitz missile bombardment. The 10 October missile attack is an example of military terrorism similar to the tactics employed by Adolf Hitler during the Second World War with the blitz bombing of civilian targets in the UK. The civilized world must respond to this with more than just “concern.” Concrete action is needed: Ukraine must be provided with all necessary weapons, including air defence systems.
Russia has long been plotting strikes on Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure. In the future, such incidents will be repeated more and more often, and with the onset of cold weather, they will yield a particularly devastating effect. The Russian military industry is now working 24/7 to produce the required number of missiles for attacks on Ukrainian cities. Putin seeks to deprive Ukrainians of everything: heat, electricity, and water supply. He is making the life of Ukrainians unbearable while the whole world watches. Partners must help Ukraine with long-range air defense systems so that Russian missile attacks can be thwarted.
Putin has already lost on the battlefield, so all he can do is launch missiles on civilian targets in an attempt to intimidate and bargain for negotiations on his own terms. He is trying to bring the entire civilized world to its knees through terror. Attacks on critical infrastructure are outright terror, and Russia is already talking about it directly. The West must recognize Russia as a terrorist state. This is necessary in order for the Putin regime to be defeated.
Ukraine vitally needs Western weapons, including long-range air defence systems – this is a matter of survival for thousands of Ukrainians. Russia still has a substantial missile arsenal and will continue to employ it against civilians. Putin is shelling peaceful Ukrainian cities: Kyiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhia, Kremenchuk, Khmelnytskyi, and Lviv, just like Hitler ordered the bombing of London, Coventry, and Gdansk. Russia behaves exactly like Nazi Germany. Russism is the neo-Nazism of the 21st century, while Putin is the modern version of Hitler.
Putin will only stop when he is defeated, and when Russia’s military resource has been exhausted. Of course, it will not stop in Ukraine: Europe is now under an unprecedented threat for the first time since the end of the Second World War. Ukraine is an outpost for the defence of the civilized world and desperately needs military and political support. Arming Ukraine is an investment of the civilized world in its continued existence.
