David Sassoli the European Parliament President will attend a virtual meeting of G7 leaders of Parliaments hosted by US Speaker Nancy Pelosi this afternoon.
Sassoli will participate in the G7 meeting of Presidents and Speakers of Parliaments on Saturday 12 September from 13.00 to 20.15. The meeting will be held remotely and hosted by Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi.
President David Sassoli will speak during the opening of the G7 Speaker’s Meeting at 13.00 and on the panel Building Back Better: Tackling COVID-19 and the Climate Crisis to build a more just, equal and prosperous future at 18.35.
The Speaker of the American Congress Nancy Pelosi, the President of the Italian Chamber of Deputies Roberto Fico, the Speaker of the Japanese Chamber of Representatives Tadamori Ōshima, and the President of the German Bundestag Wolfgang Schäuble will also speak on the same panel, which will be held behind closed doors.
