It’s every young football fan’s dream – the chance to train with your idols. This summer, youngsters in Belgium will get a chance to fulfil their dreams, or the next best thing, anyway.
They will be able to participates in a series of training camps organised by one of Europe’s top club, Atlético Madrid.
While the club’s superstar players are not actually taking part, the sessions feature the next best thing: coaches at the La Liga giants.
Belgium-based Football2Be and Kogoza.be have teamed up with the club to organise football camps to be staged in Belgium for the first time at two different venues, Braine l’Alleud and Tienen.
With the soccer Euros about to start, it is the perfect way to make it a summer spectacular of soccer.
Atlético, famous for their red and white stripes and managed by the enigmatic Diego Simeone, are the current La Liga title holders.
The Madrid academy stages are open to girls and boys of all playing levels who will benefit from a superior coaching experience where participants will train for 5 days under the Atlético colours.
This all takes place under the personal supervision of coaches traveling to Belgium from the official academy in Madrid. The training sessions have been designed by Atlético’s sports department to ensure participants have a “unique and unforgettable experience.”
Beware! The number of participants is limited to 70 so early booking is strongly advised.
If you are unable to make it, Football2B also organizes courses and soccer internships throughout the year for all players aged 5 to 16, from beginners to elite players (girls and boys). Youngsters are trained by qualified coaches and sessions are structured around different technical themes including dribbling, ball handling and information gathering. Groups of 10-12 players are formed according to the age and level of each participant and all equipment is provided for each child.
A spokesman said, “The whole panoply of the modern player is developed. The idea is that the child develops in the best possible way.”
Such sessions make for a nice gift as well, such as a birthday.
Under the impetus of two professional players, Football2Be was created in 2017 offering quality football training and camps throughout the year run by qualified and experienced coaches.
The spokesman said, “Every child is born with exploitable potential but developing and shaping it takes time and self-sacrifice. Because each player is different and evolves at their own pace, we make them centre of attention so that the approach is optimal. We aim to support players wishing to progress and the experience acquired by our coaches during their careers allows them to share appropriate sports advice to avoid the pitfalls of the football world and provide individual support.”
The sessions are available for kids aged from 6 to 16 and will be organised at Gaston Reiff stadium in Braine-l’Alleud and also at Bergévest in Tienen.
