A Time for New Leaders: Shaping the Future Together
In just over two weeks on 3rd September, this year’s 33rd Economic Forum one of the largest and most important economic and political events in Central and Eastern Europe will begin at the Gołębiewski Hotel in Karpacz. The key media outlets will cover the conference, and EU Political Report is proud to be a media partner for this outstanding event.
This year’s Forum will be held on the theme “A Time for New Leaders: Shaping the Future Together.” Over 6,000 guests from Poland and around the world will attend this year’s edition. The Forum will feature 350 debates, 6 plenary sessions, and numerous discussion panels, special events, workshops, press conferences, galas, and concerts.
One of the major events of this year’s conference will be the AI Forum, organised in collaboration with the Polish Ministry of Digital Affairs and the largest universities in Poland. This Forum will address the critical issues related to the impact of Artificial Intelligence on the ongoing revolution in society, as well as in the public and commercial sectors. Discussions will cover the challenges and problems the market will face due to the fundamental technological change brought by AI. Forum participants will consider how investments in scientific research and advanced AI technologies across different areas of life can help the European Union rebuild its competitiveness relative to global economies and ensure security.
During the XXXIII Economic Forum, the “2024 SGH and Economic Forum Report” will be presented—a comprehensive scientific study on the state of the economy in Poland and Central and Eastern European countries. This report, developed by experts from the leading academic institution in the country, the Warsaw School of Economics, outlines current socio-economic trends and phenomena, enabling leaders from various sectors to make crucial decisions.
For 15 years, the conference has included the Health Protection Forum, gathering key figures from the medical sector in Poland. This Forum serves as a platform for discussions on health-related topics, with an emphasis on economic aspects, based on facts and available data, involving all stakeholders in the health sector in Poland and Europe across the following areas: financial, regulatory, and innovative.
A regular feature of the Economic Forum is the awards given by the Forum’s Programme Council to outstanding individuals, key companies, and organizations in the following categories: Person of the Year, Company of the Year, and Non-Governmental Organization of the Year.
Having been organised for over three decades, the Economic Forum has become one of the most important events of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe. The Forum’s guests include presidents, prime ministers, ministers, politicians, local government officials, corporate executives, cultural figures, renowned academics, influential journalists, and representatives of non-governmental organizations. For three days, the Forum in Karpacz becomes a crucial venue for discussions on the most important challenges shaping the present and future of Central and Eastern Europe.
