PLAY, a low-cost carrier based in Iceland, will relaunch its Brussels flights on May 28, the third consecutive year it has served travellers from the Belgian capital.
It offers three flights a week from Brussels Zaventem Airport to Reykjavík, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, between 28 May and 7 September. The journey takes just over 3 hours.
Fares are from €69 for a round trip.
PLAY had its first ever flight in 2021 and now has a fleet comprising 10 aircraft, all belonging to the Airbus A320 family.
Passengers have the option to enjoy a stopover in Iceland at no additional cost when traveling between Europe and North America.
The stopovers are facilitated by PLAY’s ‘hub-and-spoke’ model, with all flights routed through Iceland. Passengers can spend up to 10 days in Iceland.
In addition to its European routes, the airline operates flights to several destinations in North America, including Baltimore, Boston, New York, and Washington DC in the United States, as well as Toronto in Canada. In 2023, PLAY’s crew was voted the best by the readers of USA Today 10 and named the top low-cost carrier in Northern Europe at the World Airline Awards.
The airline, founded in Reykjavík, also had an on-time performance rate of 83% in 2023.
