The callous barbarity of Russia’s blitz of civilian targets in Ukraine surpasses even the terror of the London blitz by Hitler. Putin has copied the Nazi strategy and developed it to new levels of depravity.
Russia is continuing the genocide of Ukrainians and intensifying its missile terror. The only way to stop the evil of these terrorists is to defeat them, to give total support for arms for defence to Ukraine and for the civilised world to ostracise Russia.
Russia has already carried out 16 massive missile attacks against Ukraine in May this year. Two such attacks took place at once on 29 May. The first was at night, using dozens of missiles and drones, and the second involved Iskander-M and Iskander-K ballistic missiles.
The Russians deliberately used this type of missile on Kyiv during the daytime, when the citizens are at their workplaces and on the streets, to cause maximum civilian casualties: the Kremlin cynically kills Ukrainians, while simultaneously insisting on peace initiatives and pretending that it wishes to negotiate. Under the current circumstances, there is no point in negotiating with Russia; only weapons can stop its threat.
Russia has dramatically increased the intensity of its shelling of Ukraine using cruise and ballistic missiles and Iranian drones. This is being done to cause damage to civilian and residential infrastructure and to increase casualties among the Ukrainian population. Such attacks will continue: Russia produces missiles and procures drones – they aim to wear down Ukraine’s air and missile defence supplies, which are saving the lives of thousands of Ukrainians.
Putin has signed a law denouncing the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe. This is a clear indication of his intent to confront the West and to increase the number of weapons produced. Russia is now a common threat to the civilised world – sanctions against the Kremlin and its complete international isolation must be a priority. Russia must be stopped by common global efforts, otherwise Putin will start World War III.
