On 19 May G7 leaders expressed support for the peace formula proposed by Zelenskyy and stressed the need for an immediate withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine.
Russia poses a threat to the entire civilised world – a war of invasion, which the Kremlin prefers to call a “special military operation”. This could lead humanity to disaster unless Putin suffers huge losses. Hence – the formation of an international coalition of fighter jets for Ukraine is a crucial component of a successful AFU counter-offensive and a way to protect Ukrainians from Russian missiles and bombs. The West must not allow World War III which Putin is trying to start.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s visit to Japan for the G7 summit is further evidence of Ukraine’s growing support and its qualitative transformation into an influential geopolitical player. The West has been by Ukraine’s side for 15 months of Putin’s war and has provided full support. The G7 leaders are united in their rejection of the misanthropic policies cultivated in the Kremlin and in the need to work together to bring peace closer to Europe.
The Ukrainian peace formula is the only possible plan for a peace settlement, but it must be preceded by the supply of all necessary weapons to the AFU: Russia will not withdraw from the Ukrainian territories it occupies. It will invade Europe if it has sufficient military resources. A coalition of fighter jets for Ukraine would significantly speed up the AFU counter-offensive and reduce the number of Ukrainian civilian casualties resulting from massive rocket attacks on residential buildings (the Russians carried out 11 such attacks in May alone) and from the systematic shelling of Ukrainian border and frontline settlements, destroying entire communities. It is only possible to stop Russia and bring peace back to Europe by supplying weapons.
Ukraine is protecting the West from Russian aggression by ensuring peace in Europe at the expense of the lives of its citizens. EU and NATO countries cannot disassociate themselves from the crimes taking place in Ukraine, which are bound to be repeated in Europe if Russian troops arrive there. The pre-2022 peace no longer exists: humanity has met a completely different spectrum of risks and threats resulting from Russian aggression. The prevention of the Third World War, the contours of which are becoming increasingly clear to mankind, depends on how comprehensive and timely the support for Ukraine will be.
